The morning was dark, windy and cold. So I decided to delay my start. Clouds were hanging in the mountains and if my gloves wouldn't have been really at the bottom of my pack, I would have worn them! I was also tired and a bit cranky. My foot where I had the ruptured liganment from all the rocky steep ups and downs and I was tired.
Sadly, the views at the highest point of the day, at the 1476 m high Velka luka weren't great. But later on, it cleared up and at least descending to Strecno into the Waage valley, I had some nice views.
Walking out of town, I had fun walking around the ruins of a castle, before it was steep up, up and up - but with some nice views!
I set up camp really early, hidden but nearly totally circeled by roads... I was tired and since the trail follows the ridgeline in a National Park, I asssumed I might have problems finding a hidden campspot. I also didn't find one last night but camped directly at the trail, which wasn't a problem since it was way off from any other trail or access point.
Tomorrow I will hike along the Mala Fatra. I just hope it won't be as foggy as this morning!! And then I will to leave the E3 since it doesn't pass through the High Tatra. I'm still not sure where exactly I'll hike, but the direction is clear ;)
Fog and many branches on the trail
Bärlauch for breakfast:)
A few views before the dark clouds were blown over the mountains ...
... and I was standing in the dog at the highest point of the day
The weather improved
