Day 86: Another slow day

Today was very very very slow again. But since I knew this, I was able to deal much better with it ;) And I learned, that I don't have to feel bad that there might be a trail somewhere, while I'm bushwhacking around randomly. Because today I came up on a marked trail and it isn't much different from not having a trail! Of course it is still nicer, because I don't have to check my map all the time and feel like it would be easier to hike somewhere else. But I was still climbing over fallen trees every few meters, had steep a-/descents in the forest and crossed blackberry fields. And I discovered, that the gpx track is really useless, because sometimes the marked trail is off by 200 m...

In the morning I managed to avoid any animal flock and the small open meadows in the afternoon were a nice change with some blueberries! I was happy when I came across a little stream, because I was already worried I might not get water, since I am basically walking on a ridge. Well, there was no reason to worry. There was a thunderstorm with lots of rain in the afternoon, so I filled my cup 4 homes with water running from my tent. After the rain stopped, I continued only a little further, climbing over lots of fallen trees, before I decided to call it a day. The thunderstorms are still around and the weather forecast for the next few days is rain! I also got another warning SMS about bad weather and am wondering, if my campspot on the ridge was a good choice...
Oh yeah, and then there will be a food problem at some point, since I didn't expect it to be soooo slow!

Some 'trail' pictures

Nice open meadows with blueberries. Sadly I also lost the trail there and continued a while without it walking over a ridge while the trail stayed low

Mt. Arcer (1829 m) - let's see if I get up there tomorrow or if it is too wet
