The thunderstorms went on throughout the night, so I had a late start when they finally stopped. But only for a short time. I could hear thunder nearly all day, but it rained in me only a few times and just one time a bit more, but luckily I was protected by trees.
I managed to work my way sloely up to Mt. Arcer and Mt. Tibles. I skipped Mt. Bran, since it was foggy anyways. The gpx trail down didn't work out in the field thanks to a lot of mountain pines. So I decided to drop down into a valley, where there was a trail on my map. When I was there, I discovered that there is no trail but the stream I was following down the valley got brushing and steeper. So I worked my way up again on a ledge on the other side of the valley. Took me at least 2 h to get basically nowhere... Frustrating!!!I was already considering going a really long way around on trails that are on my map, because I got nowhere and it'll continue without trails on my map. But the following bit was on (more or less good) paths, sometimes marked, sometimes I might have taken the 'wrong' path. So I was in a much better mood. An when I discovered, that there were no animals on the many open meadows I had to pass, I was happy :)
Heading up towards Mt Arcer
Clouds are everywhere...
... also on top!
The valley I dropped down into
Open meadows without animals!
The day comes to an end
