Italy - Day 1: From Greece to Italy

Since we stopped at midnight in Igoumenatsi, I was awake for maybe an hour and a half, since people were coming and going and there were announcements over the speakers. But apart from that, I slept better than expected!

The few hours after waking up, I spent talking to Rita (the German doctor), havi g breakfast and spending outside, watching the Italien coast.

We arrived a bit late in Bari, but since my bus was leaving at 2:35 p.m., I had plenty of time. After walking out of the harbour, which took quite a while, I walked through the narrow streets of the old town. Very beautiful but also VERY touristy, with lots of groups, souvenir shops and too many people for me. I remembered, that I am not a big Fan of Italy, because people love to Gatter, are loud and don't seem to have an idea of personal space. So I quickly walked to a Park to calm down bit. I decided to be lazy and so I spent my  time mostly in the park.

The bus was late 10 Minuten, but took me in over 3 h to Sibari. During the drive, clouds were already building up and I thought I might get rained on hard on the busy road in this flat area, before I can find a camp spot. But it stayed dry and I set up camp between olive trees. Not great, but the best I could find.

Well, obviousely not great, since not long after, I heard a voice and then a guy with a bunch of cows passed my tent... I stayed inside and he didn't say or ask anything, so at least we ignored each other. I was anyways planning on leaving early tomorrow morning!

Oh yes, my foot. It hurt a little, but not very much. Let's see how it will be tomorrow, when I will walk an entire day.

Sunrise

Lots of people in Bari

Looks like rain...

Tonight's campspot - not as quiet as I hoped
