Day 24: Water

Already yesterday I returned from Stuttgart via Weiden back to the trail, where I had left it a week ago for one week of 'luxury holidays'.

Today was a day, dominated by water. And I was lucky that it was mostly on the ground and not coming from above. I got drizzled on a couple of times, but looking at the clouds building up and hearing the thunder, I got really, really lucky. Plus, I even managed to charge my powerbank with my solar panel today, which was good since the battery of my new phone sucks!!!

The first water of the day was the river 'Waldnaab', which I followed for a long time. Very nice was the 12 km long canyon, which passes through a protected nature reserve. But also busy on a Sunday.

The second water were the forest lakes of Wiesau. An incredible number of lakes made by humans to breed fish. It must be great in summer, when you can go swimming in the lakes. At the moment, only the frogs are jumping in ;)

I walked not much further to set up my tent early past Muckenthal. And then I discovered a few tini-tiny ticks on my pant legs. After killing about 8, I discovered that the entire back of my pants was full. It must have been at least 50 and I also found some on me. So I assume the next days I'll discover more. I just hope I can get them. It's really annoying, when you are alone and they are somewhere on your back...
