Day 26: Stop and go

This morning just passed by. I reached the porcelain town Selb, passed the Old Pfarrhaus, with some drinks in a natural fridge and found myself buying resupply in Rehau before noon.

While I had to hide from the rain only once in the morning, the sky looked rather unpleasant in the afternoon. So I decided to make up my own route through the forest to the border triangle, instead of following the E3, which was entirely going through open fields. A good choice, since I had several stops in the afternoon, hiding from the rain.

At the border triangle I walked from Bavaria into the Czech Republik and continued into Sachsen. Interesting, that the border to the Czech Republik is in parts a stream, like the border I met before with Austria.

Since the sky looked really unpleasant and the next part was open meadows, I hid for half an hour in a raised hide for hunting. But there was no rain. Just 5 minutes after continuing my hike, it poured down on me and even hailed. Brrrr..... But not long after, there was some sun again. What a crazy weather!

Surprisingly I hit the Kammweg Erzgebirge Vogtland already today. I will follow it to Geising, which is nearly its entire length of 285 km. After a very muddy first part, it got quite nice, following little streams. Past Gettengrün I decided to set up my camp in a river valley in the sun, since I didn't wanted to get too close to the coming B92. Last night I was far away from the A93, but could still hear it all night!

European long distance trail E3, which I will follow some more time on my way through the Carpathians
