Day 25: Rainbows

The day started with a huge rainbow. When I was lucky yesterday, that it was pretty dry, today was very wet - not crazy but very unpleasant. And every time I had just set up my solar panel or taken off my rain jacket, it poured down on me.

A highlight were the ruins of castle Weißenstein, where I had even a bit of sun and spent quite some time, exploring every corner.

Very interesting is, that most signs are not only in German but also in Czech language, because the border is so close.

I reached Markretwitz, where the Goldsteig ends. However, in Unterthölau I hit the European long distance trail E3, which I will follow the next days, until I will switch to the Erzgebirgskammweg.

In the afternoon I had a few rain-stops, that I spent on cemeteries or in churches. I also passed the Wartberg with its little tower and the ruins of castle Thierstein with a huge tower, which I couldn't walk up due to construction work.

The day ended with another rainbow and when I reached the forest, I quickly set up camp before the next rain front approached.
