Day 117: Scenic ridge walk and a huge copper mine

A beautiful day!!!

In the morning I hiked on small paths through the forest. I'm glad this trail is well used, so it wasn't even a problem that there were lots of blackberries and broken trees. As I know from experience, it could have easily taken three times as much time otherwise...

In the afternoon I hiked on open grass land, following the ridge. Very beautiful! I just didn't like the huge copper mine, although it was quite scenic. And I had a little trouble finding water since three water sources in a row were either dry or too dirty. Number four was great, but the flow was very slow!

Now I am camping a little wind sheltered, below the ridge that I will continue to hike tomorrow, before I drop down more than 1000 m in elevation in order to resupply! A little annoying, especially since I still have lots of food but not enough to make it all the way to the next resupply!
