When I heard the thunder and rain this morning, I thought it's going to be an ugly day. But when I started hiking, there was even some sun! I walked through town again and then followed the markings of the Sentiero Italia up into Aspomonte National Park.
The first bit was open and very nice and I stopped a lot for pictures - also a good excuse for a break walking up ;)The clouds that were hanging in the mountains, came down and I ended up walking in the fog. Despite the weather forecast, it didn't rain too much today. So I was able to walk not only 15 km to the first little bit of forest but until the evening, through nice beech forests. I am camping at over 1800 m. It is cold, windy, foggy and wet.
