Italy - Day 7: Conturing around mountains and a wet end

It rained a lot yesterday, but this way I had enough water. The morning was dry and even sunny! I passed many wind turbines (they were working thanks to the windy conditions) and contoured around several mountains on a marked trail all day. Wonderful!!! I couldn't stop taking pictures.

I had an early lunch in the sun, which turned out to be a good thing, since it got a bit nasty in the afternoon. However not too bad and I was able to get some good views despite the changing weather. First there were some clouds passing by, then it rained several times and was pretty windy.

But when I broke free from the clouds I got a wonderful view of Monte Scruderi, which was even jn the sun. I got wet enough and decided to set up camp. I found a half round terrace with pine trees, which I thought was relatively wind protected. Turned out it is not so much...
