The night was cold, windy and very wet. But my tent kept my nice dry! In the morning I walked through nice beech forests, mostly on forest roads and still in the fog.
I blindly followed the Sentiero Italia (SI) signs and ended up walking half an hour on a beautiful trail but in the wrong direction. No idea, if they put the SI on another route, but on my map there was no way back to the town of Serra San Bruno, which I wanted to pass to resupply. So I turned around and followed my gpx track. In Serra San Bruno, I just managed to do my shopping before 1 pm and the long lunch break of the shop. I hid in a church for over 1 h to charge my phone and get warm. The entire day was windy and certainly below 10°C.
I had planned to walk only about 5 km out of town to camp on a little hill with trees, but the pines were so scarce, that there were lots of blackberries underneath. So I continued in the drizzle for another 7 km, until I found a terraced patch of forest to camp.
