Greece - Day 12: A long beach walk, an unwanted excursion and lots of road walk

The morning started rather cool and foggy, but the weather improved and soon the mountains were visible again. I had a nice long beach walk to pass the airport of Tympaki. After Kokkinos Pyrgos I made the mistake of climbing up the cliffs on roads. My maps showed a path that got down to the beach again, but I ended up standing in front of a very steep canyon, that I tried, but didn't dare to climb down. So instead of a lovely few kilometer beach walk, I walked up a few hundreds meters, passed several fences and finally dropped down again before Agia Galini. The seemingly short hike had turned into a few hours... at least I had some good views!
In Agia Galini I took a very long break, although the weather had become windy and cloudy. Finally, I managed to get going again, after adding 2.5 L water to my backpack.
The next few kilometers were pure road walk until Triopetra. I listened to some podcasts and enjoyed the unspoiled landscape along the coast. In-between there were some raindrops, but not much more.
I checked out the namegiver (the 3 stones) of Triopetra and although the beach looked tempting and it was still early, I walked a few hundreds meters back to set up my tent halfway hidden between some bushes. When I was done, the sun tried to beat the clouds. I will sleep to the sound of the sea tonight.
