Greece - Day 24: Small paths and ancient Mystras

The night wasn't as cold as expected  but I still had a late start.
I followed the beautiful path through forest, along rocks and over meadows. There were also plenty of springs and the views back on the snowy mountains were wonderful.
At first, the path was going slightly down, but then it dropped down a lot. It was getting warmer, the lower I came and so incredibly spring like, that I could have just stayed somewhere hidden for a couple of days, reading and enjoying being out there. I passed the village Anavriti, some churches and then dropped down into a gorge with a lovely path down to Paroreio.
A short road walk and I was in Mystras, where I bought more food in a tiny mini market. This weekend is Easter in Greece and I'm not sure when I can buy food the next time, so now I should have enough until Tuesday.
Then I walked to the ancient byzantine town of Mystras. While I was first sceptical  if I really want to visit the site, I totally wanted to go up there, once I saw it. So I paid tge 12 € entrance fee and joined the other tourists. Sadly there were a lot of buildings closed, but there are lots of ruins and churches to be explored. The area is quite large and it took me a few hours of walking around to see all there is.
Then a little bit of road but I quickly found an olive grove to hide and camp. Tomorrow will be up again, since I left the E4 for some more mountains.
