Day 42: Crowded Owl Mountains

I had an early start today. Not because it was a beautiful day, but because I was visited the evening before by 2 women with a dog. The dog found my hidden campspot and barked until the women came. They spoke Polish only and wanted to call the police. With hands and feet I explained that I'm hiking and staying only one night. Finally they agreed to leave me alone.

It was such a beautiful day. The first time I had the feeling it's summer and I am right where I belong. Sitting in the forest at a little stream, being healthy and happy to hike wherever I want, sleeping in the forest and listening to the birds sing, watching mufflons and listening to the baby woodpickers in the tree makes me so greatful! Sadly lots of my trail was road walk in the afternoon, but it was still beautiful.

Just sometimes I wonder, why I hike up steep trails, just to stand on a little peak with no views and maybe a marker that states the altitude. When I suffer, I want at least a little treat in form of a view ;)

Because of the public holiday and the gorgeous weather, the trails were full of people.

At the castle Grodno there was a line of people who wanted to buy a ticket and at the Wielka Sowa I felt like on a fairground!

Since the weather is amazing, I cowboy camp tonight, hopefully without visitors this time :)

A Cemetery with water - very much appreciated!

If you are lucky, that's what you get to see after hiking up steep trails.

Well and that...
