Day 50: Mountain chains

The day was relatively nice. After a short bit through town and along a busy road, I walked in the forest all day, apart from the casual road that I had to cross.

There were nice views from the first mountain chain. And a Czech 'trailrunner' stopped to talk to me. He was running through the entire Czech Republik from West to East and had seen me about 20 days ago at the Prebischtor in Saxony Switzerland!!!

The next mountain chain was hiher and more work. Especially cause I walked up after lunch under humid moist and sunny conditions. However, I made it and when I reached the highest point of the E3 for that day, the Radhost with 1129 m, it started to drizzle. I waited for half an hour at the chapel, but it didn't look like it would stop.
Then I decided at the busy Pustevny (of course there was a chair lift) to parallel the E3 hiking the ridgeline. A good choice, especially since the E3 would habe been a bicycle path for this stretch. However, there was a really steep bit up to 1206 m high Certuv mlyn, but there was a spring not far after, so a good treat ;)

But it seems like I might need to buy new shoes soon. I start sliding like crazy pn these steep hills, cause they don't have much grip left...
