The morning was nice, hiking through the mountains. Like yesterday, I did not always follow the E3. I had found a really nice 3D map the day before, and chosen my route according to staying on mountain ridges and trying to avoid roads. Only once, the path that I found on maps.me, didn't exist. A lovely day, with some springs on my way and a bit cooler weather than before. But since it is weekend, there were many more people around. Entire families with little kids up to the grandparents were hiking in the forest!!!
And I made it from the Czech Republic into Slovakia!
The afternoon wasn't that pleasant. It was over 15 km on a paved road along a river. Not bad, especially it wasn't crazy hot anymore and just downhill, but also not really nice. I decided that it is Podcast time :) About 5 km before I reached Bycta, it rained and I hid in a roofed bus stop. Just when I wanted to read, 3 kids came and tried to talk to me, totally ignoring that I tried to read... At least the time passed by quickly that way and when the rain stopped, I continued my walk into town. I did a quick stop at the supermarket and when I started to head towards the next forest, dark clouds already groomed around. I didn't make it dry, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. And the rain stopped, before I set up the my tent.
I already saw the first bare rocks in the forested mountains and hope I have good weather the next weeks, to explore the Tatra Mountains.
