Day 70: Thunderstorms and straweberries

Today I started really late. Not only because I was tired and slept in, but also because the Ukraine is 1 h ahead of Slovakia.

I am still amazed, that I have an actual marked trail that I am following! So it was a nice walk, through forests and meadows. I wasn't making many kms, since there were deliciouse sraweberries along my path, that I stopped for a lot. Since the sun came out, I had an early 'charging break', where I put my solar module in the sun. I lost the trail once, but since I was on a path, going the same general direction just further uphill, I just continued. Of course the path at some point turned away from my actual path, so I decided to walk trailless through the forest, parallel to my original path. Slow but nice, until I realised, that I had contoured around the hill a little too far. So I walked back and decided to head down to my marked path. Much easier hiking ;)

Not long after that, there was a thunderstorm with lots of rain. I was hoping it might be over soon, but it is continuing since hours. while I kwot on walking first, I passed a little shelter and waited there, hoping I might continue soon. Since I was wet, I really started to get cold and finally decided to set up my tent (the shelter was dark and of course full of rubbish) and crawl in my sleeping bag. The rain isn't too bad but I was really cold. And since I have enough food (I hope there is a store tomorrow), I enjoy the luxury of spending half a day in the tent, reading my book :) However, I hope the weather forecast isn't correct, since otherwise it might become 1.5 days!

Marked trails :)

Garbage know the forest - so sad

Well, sadly with garbage inside...

My old shoes

I found a roof in the rain

What else can you do in the rain than eat. The 'power-Wurst' from Slovakia - basically some soya flour with sugar and fat :)
