Italy - Day 12: A full hiking day mainly through forests

Today was a dry day and I was able to hike the entire day :) While the morning was still foggy and cold, the sun came out around noon and I was able to take off my rain gear.

I walked through beautiful beech forests, crossed several little creeks and passed cow pastures and pine forests.

The trail was well marked and I loved the bit where I just followed trail markers through open beech forests without any visible path. The trail was often paralleling a road, but it didn't feel like it and was far enough off.

Tonight I even got a few views, before I set up my tent wind sheltered in a nice beech forest, not far from the road.

This is how you mark a dangerous spot on the road - sometimes I feel like I am in Ecuador or the Ukraine here!
